Can we find God by using our reason?
1.Isn’t it reasonable that man consists of a body which is a perfect chemical workshop as well as a mind which has created what we know as our admirable civilisation?
2.Isnt’t reasonable that we are surrounded by a Nature so wonderfully operating by laws?
            3. As we see Nature round us, isn’t it reasonable that we become persuaded that there must be a Creator οf it?
            4. It is reasonable that as Nature operates by means of laws there must be a Law-giver? Isn’t reasonable that  this  law-giver is the Creator of Nature? Βecause the Creator ought to establish laws in the Nature He created in order to make it operate for the good of those for whom He created it
5.Now when a man constructs something, of course he uses his mind, a car for example. And to make this car isn’it reasonable that he does it by using his mind and that his mind is higher than the thing constructed? So isnt it reasonable to conclude that both Nature and man were created by  a Supreme Mind? And as this Mind is so intelligent we understand that isn it a most reasonable evidence that He is identified with the Law –giver who created laws and governs with them.
            6. Adding to this we see it is reasonable that the preservation of life proves the existence of providence and plan. Isn’t reasonable that the One who preserves life is the one who created it?  Isn’t, therefore, a person?
7.Isn’t  it also reasonable that there is a purpose in the creation of man? When a person employs someone in his business, of course, he tells him what work he is to do, etc. Doesn’t the Supreme Mind and Creator tells man what the purpose of the created life is?
8.In our life we come across with a book which claims it contains the word of God. It is loved by millions of whom many supprt that it transformed their lives, it is the Bible. And isn’t it reasonable that God, the Creator, in that way reveals Himself in written way and speaks to man about His plan for him?
9. In history we read of a person far more different from  anybody of us. No man has existed like  Him in what he said and did. He proved true the assertrion that he was God himself who came in the form of man to make atonement for man’s sin and grant to the believing ones eternal life. It was Jesus Christ. Is it,then, reasonable to ignore history?
            10. On the other hand in searching our conscieces we discover uneasiness, failures, in what we have done or have not, perhaps feelings which made us sorry afterwards, as well as a kind of emptiness and the fear of death. As Christ asserts he can grant redemption, is it reasonable to ignore Him as long as strong evidence of His personality can be presented?
Conclusion: Through our above brief search we discovered the steps of God by using our reason. So we see reason does not cotradict faith, neither faith contradicts reason. But since there are so many “faiths”, we, as being reasonable people have to search which faith can persuade our uneasy mind that it is true. It is then reasonable to discover that faith in the Lord Jesus as personal Saviour of everyone of us is the only reasonable one as the deepest evidence can be at the disposition of any pursuer of the truth.
